Another newbie
« on: April 23, 2015, 16:29:40 »
A big hello from Somerset, I am looking at a plot on Monday it is about a mile and half from home.
I have had allotment before but for one reason or another, I had to give it up.
So hopefully I will actually get some fruit & veg this time

I looked @ the plot on Monday, the plot needs quite a bit of work but there are already raised beds and paths in situ.
I have a shed which is already there.
Couple of the beds just need light clearing, but the rest need heavy clearing.

That is fabulous and so much better than most plots new allotmenters get offered.  Sounds like you can sow/plant into some of the area with very little work and when the main planting starts in May/June you will have had time to get the rest done.  A shed is such a bonus and raised beds too.  Lucky you!  Wish you a really successful start.  Good luck
