Topic: Help! Red Robin & Red Fantasy potatoes...

At the Whitchurch potato day on Sunday I bought various varieties.  Some of the ones I aimed to get were already gone or N/A, so I ended up with a few varieties to "try" Unfortunately I didn't note down when they "mature" as I assuemd they'd be on the potato list... a couple are not, nor can I find them doing web searches...  Have you bought and noted down whether the following are early/2nd early/mains?!  I only have 3 of each so it's not a problem if no one can help, I'll wait and see and see what I get!

When looking up Red in the Eurpean Potato database I came across Robijn. Red Robin may be a UK spelling of Robijn, a red late main

Could 'Red Fantasy' be 'Fantasia'  ?

I am sorry this is a very late reply. Red Robin (RedRobin officially) is a new variety that was trialed at the Whitchurch Potato Day. RedRobin was oficially registered in 2010 and you will find it in the potato database from the British Potato Council.

RedRobin is not related to Robijn. Robijn is also the reason that RedRobin is one word now as it was deemed too close to Robijn (by name) to be allowed by Defra / Ferra

We bought some RedRobin at Whitchurch about 4 years ago but haven't seen it since.  Normally we try to get to them Saturday morning before they start to sell out but this year we could only make Sunday...they had stocks of all the potatoes but hadn't brought any RedRobin.  They made very nice mini baked potatoes!
