Something arrived by post yesterday.  Must be the strawberries I ordered.  Grabbed the packet.   Rushed down to the plot trowel in hand.  Space already prepared and waiting for them.  Malling Centenary great !!

Dug the holes.  Opened the pack.  Whoops its a pair of bright pink fingerless gloves.

I nearly blew up and knotted one of Judes pink gardening gloves and was going to plant it sub soil just with the tips showing as new growth .....in homage to your Oooops !!!

But the Bronchitus keeping me bed ridden won and my humour in the garden lost,so just had to settle thinking of some amusing reply from the safety and warmth of inside the bedroom window.

Shame......would of been fun to see em growing.

Sorry to hear you are suffering, and run out of jokes Gazza. 

I do like the thought of planting a pair of pink plastic gloves, perhaps they will protect my rhubarb someone might think it some a nasty disease. 

Malling Centenary are a fabulous taste, but just found they are suspectible to disease which is a bind.  Some people are very careless about bringing in various plants with diseases.  Their fruits are very attractive, took like the perfect strawberry, reputed to produce nearly 90% top quality fruit.

I believe that those ones are Marigolds.
