It's 30 metres long and 7 metres wide (I think) I've 2 types of greenhouse and a lot of cold frames. There's also a waterpump at the far end that pumps the water from the ditch that surrounds the site.
I've split it into 6 areas so that I can plan my crop rotation easier.

I notice from another thread that, rent-wise, it ain't cheap to keep - but you do seem to get some services for your money!  I pay £10 for about 8m x 15m - but for that you get the land and access to central water tanks (fed from the well so no water when the weather is hot and the levels are low) and that is it!

If I ever make any progress on No 2 plot - I'll post an update!  I'll keep your plot in mind.... :)

I wouldn't say I get services - the pump I had to contiribute to seperately. but it's the going rate over here. I do get discount seeds etc.
It cost me 150 euros to "take over" the plot from the last owner - that covers his cost for greenhouses, coldframes, pump etc.
I'm happy ;D
I've just spent all evening chopping up peppers for the freezer and making hgreen tomato relish. Time for a beer methinks !

Hi BB

You have a lovely site and ok it cost you to take it on but you did get the bits to go with it so you pump your own water cool 8)
Is the bike your transport, there is a local gardener who does odd jobs and he has a bike with his fork tied to it off he goes and talks to everybody.

It's a nice looking lottie BB, and looks quite rural.   One of those lotties you could never get fed up with, and have reluctance to go home, assuming refreshments readily available  ??? ??? ???

It's a nice peaceful site except on Sundays when the football fields you can just see to the left are being used by loud players. There's no refreshments unfortunately it's strictly bring yer own.
And yep that's my bike - it's the law in Holland - everyone has to own one :-)
Although I often come in the car if I'm planning on bringing produce home.

Great pictures BB, you must have a really good camera. Thanks for sharing them with us, it's nice to be able to place people in in their lottie when you read their postings about it.

I have been meaning  to ask you about that picture under your name, the blue man, is that really you?

I have sent some pictures to Dan in the hope that he will post them on this board. -Ina

Hi Ina,
I'm fortunate enought to have been able to buy a sony cybershot DSC-f505 for halfprice off my Dad when he upgraded to the 707 - both brilliant cameras.

Yep that Blue bloke is me - It was taken when I was competing in the Dutch RobotWars on TV.
