Not exactly but I have tried Vitelotte blue potatoes and I was rather disappointed. they were not very blight resistant and the resulting potatoes were not even really that nice, rather floury. they store well though!
We discovered 'pommes Violette' in France a few years ago and the restaurant kindly gave us some to bring home and seed from They are yummy!!
Hi a thread close to my heart as I am also trying red emmalies for first time this year (arrived at weekend from skea organics)and will be growing some highland burgundies nearby for comparison which aren't so red.
Let me know how the violettas go ?
