Made sundried tomato and chilli bread which is having its second rise before being baked, the sausage rolls are going in the oven now and will make the salad in the morning so the beans are still crunchy :)

We cant wait :)

Made two cakes, one of which I will add frosting to in the morning. And I'm excited too!

I rang Betty this morning and she hadn't heard from anyone saying they couldn't come.  At least we have shelter there where we can eat and seed swap.

Weather forecast for the area is that it may dry up this afternoon.    :sunny:

Big thank you to everyone for a great day.

Weather something of a problem.  Did not get lost but did get caught in the monsoon on the M42.  Bit of a nightmare,  I think I prefer Aldridge after all.

Lovely drive home in the sunshine, and nice to find my raspberries had been watered, the autumn ones were desperately in need first rain for more than two weeks.

It was a brilliant day, despite the weather. Thanks Betty for hosting and to M12 for chauffeuring myself and Silver leaf. I hope that you and Mrs M12 got home safely after your massive drive. Thank you to the people who brought seeds and the Daubenton as I lost mine last year (my fault) and the food was excellent.  :toothy10:

I had a lovely time, so thank you very much everyone! So nice to meet you all, and what an amazing site to have a nosy round. :)

Plus I got to geek out several times about peas and genetics, which is always fun if you're me. Great day!

What can I say other than a great big THANK YOU to everybody for a really great day.  It was really special.  Thank you Betty for having us again.  It is a magical place, so much to see and learn and enjoy.  Thank you for everybody's company, good chats,  catching up and making new friends.  Definitely a good place to learn about pea genetics - who knew?   :sunny:  Even Calico/Psycho the cat put in a brief appearance and allowed me to stroke her.  A super day!

It really was lovely to meet up again with people I now consider as friends and to
meet two new ones, Chriscross and Silverleaf

There was an amazing amount of food, and I had my first-ever samosa! The rain
didn't put anyone off coming, thank goodness, and it even stopped long enough
for us to have a walk around the site.

Cam asked if we could have it at Walsall Rd again next year and that is fine
by me, I am so pleased that people like coming to us.

I didn't take many photos, too busy talking!

The photos start off with Melbourne's wonderful pork pie!  Even though I am vegetarian I can
still appreciate the skill which has gone into making this.

What a wonderful day; it was lovely to meet old friends again and meet new ones.  Thanks to everyone for coming and a special big thanks to Betty for organising it all.  Apart from the rain, everything was so perfect. Thanks also to Betty's allotment friends who helped too.  Like last year we had a delicious selection of food, provided by A4A members.
