I rotated the photo as the bird was upside down..

I'd say so.  Treecreeper is the only bird I know that creeps down the trunk like that, and it certainly looks like the little shy brown bird I sometimes see - though I can't think I've seen one for some time, and I'm always in the woods.

Thank you for confirming and the thumbs up. I am not too hot on birds, just started getting to know some of them. Just the obvious garden birds, I can do! Cheers x

Looks like one, though a treecreeper only goes up the trunk. it's the nuthatch which can go down.
