I think it comes in bought compost. I let it grow for an id

looks a bit like a teasel growing
round hollow stem
leaves teaselish, opposite, with little secondary stems growing out
no flowers unfortunately

and errm 8ft tall :)

looked up "weeds of cultivation", but Google gives me "cultivation of weed" :)

it's from the niger seed. I thought that was a thistle, and didn't know it got that big

Niger seed is usually irradiated for that reason so it should not grow. XX Jeannine
