can't figure why you're still missing out - after all that briefing - mail me what you're doing and I'll try to help. As I've said before - the blind leading the blind!!

However, Dan may step in and give you the real 'gen'. And, maybe, tell me how I can avoid printing the whole page, rather than just the photo. - Tim

Hi Tim. Waddaya mean missing out? I've got it licked (I think), this picture made it didn't it? Why the other one disappeared I don't know. I just noticed that one of yours, that was on before, has also gone, the one of your garden.

About your problem, how do you have your photo's stored in your p.c.? Mine are in a digital photo album so when I move a picture, there's no page to go with it. Greetings, -Ina

Dan says it's to do my web site - still haven't seen yours - and, as you say, mine have gone now!

I'll have to think about your other question while you're away - Tim

Just noticed that my bean picture vanished too, I replaced it by modifying the posting, pasting it back on and it's there again.
I decided to e-mail Dan asking why the pictures keep disappearing. Clint thinks it may have something to do with removing cookies and temporary files from our pc. Have you removed any cookies or temp files since posting the picture that disappeared Tim? -Ina

Ina - your beans look great.  I am hoping to grow some frenchies next year along with the runners, for a change.  The purple ones look delish - do they stay purple when cooked?

Hi Emma J. The purple beans turn green when cooked. They are good beans but don't seem to freeze as well as the other two kinds so we prefer to eat them fresh and use the others for freezing for winter use. If you grow French beans next season and you plan to freeze them, make sure you get the types that freeze well, it will say so on the packet. Other types get a bit soggy after freezing, not very good. Good luck. -Ina

If you like nice, fat and crisp (if you don't over cook) beans, you'll like them Tim. Your Fristina got a growth spurt so we may get some after all and I have enough seeds left for a spring sowing too. -Ina

Nice looking beans Ina - Do you use a bean trench ? I'm preparing one this year and will try some in the trench and some normally and see if I see a difference in yields - I can then decide what to do the next year.

Also congrats from me BB.
No, I never did bean trenches, never know exactly where the poles are going to be. I only grow climbers, so much easier to pick haha. You will let us know if there is a better yield won't you? If it makes a big difference I'll just have to learn to plan better.

If you are not sure which type of French beans (spercibonen) you want to grow, I can recommend Rakker, best yield of all we tried and a very tasty bean. Have a look around Pum's zaden on-line shop, I've used them two years now and very pleased with the service and selection. http://www.pumszaden.nl/index.aspx -Ina
On the picture above you can see the Rakkers on the left.
