Well, we had our local show on Saturday (14th Sept)....Both my Mother inlaw and I entered a squash each in to the 'Any other veg' category....which neither got a placing
out of about 7 entries.
My jar of Blackberry and Apple jam came first out of 6 entries, so I was very chuffed with that.
Only a small show but good fun, with about 35 exhibitors, with a lot of people entering several categories, I think I was one of the few who only entered 2 things.
I shall have to plan more veg varieties to plant in my garden to choose from next year...I'm thinking beetroot doesn't take up too much room...and my Grandpa used to grow them
