Water on site
« on: August 15, 2013, 11:18:07 »
Hello there everyone, I am part of an allotment association involved in setting up a site for 65 people. It is semi rural and has no mains water on site. Does any one have any advice re: boreholes, water tanks etc  Thanks!

Although we have water on top we use lots of blue barrels.  However we have just got hold of some of these, they are massive,
Got ours for nothing ,

These are what i am talking about:

I did not think that you need a licence if you want to take less than 4000 gallons per day.

We have well water but sometimes it runs out.

We got 70+ old wheelie bins from the council tip site for free. Every shed and greenhouse has at least 2 and we have organised water collection from the communal and our own polytunnels. :happy7:
