Identity help please?
« on: August 01, 2013, 18:29:24 »
Yesterday I looked through the window & there was a strange insect on the flowers. OH tried to get a picture but it was so fast. At first I thought it was a moth, its wings were going so fast. Its back end looked like a bee, at the front it had what looked like a set of 3 anteni & it was pushing the central one into the flowers of perovski & plumbgo.
We would really love to know what it was.

They certainly are amazing. It's the first time we've both seen one.

I would  bet that we'll see a lot more of them this year, if the weather stays settled.
Kind regards

Mike.
