Blimey, GW, has he been living on suet this winter?  LOL. 

I think blackbirds are gorgeous and I love your pic.  I have a couple that come down each day for quite a considerable amount of time.  Every other day I throw out a mixture of wild bird seed/mixed fruit/beef suet (no wonder they stay so long lol)

That is one fluffed up black bird!  Don't know why, but it looks kinda grumpy to me.  Cold maybe.
