Bought from blooms at Solihull Wed PM
Thursday the bees loving it
Friday all the petals dropped off .
£8 LIGHTER AND MY LOVELY PLANT LOOKING STORKY
Any ideas on what could have happened?

Could be that it needs time to settle in and that carrying all that bloom is incompatible with it doing so.
The good news is that after an online search lavender lass is a repeat flowerer so although you may be reticent it may be an idea to cut off the current flowering spike hoping for another in a couple of months or less.
Or you can just leave it to see if any unopened flowers open normally.
