:-[ Hi ALL, today the 1-7-2007 I give you notice that I have removed the topic on my website www.recycling.moonfruit.com about CUTTING CRIME, as its got nothing to do with trying to help the poor people in our world, and Re-using and Recycling some of our waste, and Gardening, which I designed my website for. With this in mind could you please spread the word, as I need all the help I can get to help others. THANK YOU VERY MUCH IF YOU CAN DO THIS FOR ME.

ROFPMSL!

Oh .. well done JRP for recognising the dubious connection between your 'cutting crime' theories and helping the world's poor. Kofi Annan would be proud ... honestly!

E Mail him! I know for a fact he gets milk delivered in 6 pint bottles made out of plastic from sustainable plastic forests and he doesn't like Mugabe or JK Rowling.

... the Paul O'Grady show on ITV .... not the type of allotment plot that they were looking for. It was not bizarre enough...

Was just looking through old posts....

JRP this doesn't surprise me one bit.

This very show wanted to do a feature on Forensic techniques with a few people I work with on a Police Forensics training site but instead of them allowing us to show a crime scene as it really is they wanted to make it all CSI'd and wanted a stupid chalked outline of a body and cheesy things like that.  That's not how it's done!!

They just want to show stuff that makes THEM look good, not the guests.  Can't stand bloody Paul O'Grady.

:-[ Hi ALL,this message is for all those people who know people who have allotment plots or do farming where it has flooded, or for any body else who cares about others, whilst I'm sure most of the people do already know what ever they have growing now they must not eat it, why because of it being contaminated, and the contamination is now covering a wide area of land, to the point that all the crop growing farmers who have been effected, are now saying the land is going to be no good to use anymore, for many years in the future.
With this in mind I know how I can help them, done by you simply helping me to spread the word, that they can still grow things in containers, which they lay out on top of the contaminated land, using my very simple to make transportable growing system to grow something in, designed to helps them in a flood situation like I've been offering to the rest of the world for many years now. In the West of the country people have been flooded, it would make me feel good, and I'm sure it would make you feel good too, to know that someone is going use my idea after you trying to help me to spread the word.
This way they can still carry on growing things to eat or to make a living, instead of just giving up because they can no longer use the land that's been contaminated by what ever for many years to come. There must be thousands of containers of all shapes and sizes the people have had to use to hold water, simply fill them now with cheap compost and grow something to eat, instead of sending them mostly to the landfill sites, along with all the rest of the rubbish the floods have created I say.
I know that there are already lots of people out there who know my system works, I do believe now is the time for all of them to tell others, so we can help those who do need all the help they can get right now in the UK where it has been flooded..
For those who do not know what I'm talking about please visit my website www.recycling.moonfruit.com.
May you and yours and what you grow live long and happy, and thank you for taking the time to read my important message. John. J.R.P.

Hi JRP,

In a year we have an area ( currently covered in hard core ) converted back into a plot.

I was wondering if you would be able to help us replicate you allotment idea but adapted for someone in a wheelchair?

Hi Cambourne7, thank you for showing your interest in the way I grow things,
YES my pallet section were designed already for someone in a wheelchair, all you would have to do is make up a section, but only use the top rows to grow things, so that the chair goes under them with the person in it, done by laying a sheet of wood on the inside of the uprights of the pallet section, so that the containers can be got to from both sides. If you did decide to build a allotment plot like mine with a wheelchair in mind, then I wood simply cover all of the decking pallets in sheets of wood, with a ramp at one end to come on and off of, with some small holes made in them to help with water runoff. What I will try and do is to get my Mother-in-law to sit in her chair under a section to show you how it can be done, or even my self, it's a shame you are not on my site as I would have liked to build it with you, just to make things essayer for you.
If you want to know more please ask me, as others I'm sure would like to know too.  ;D May you and yours and what you grow live long and happy. John. J.R.P.

JRP, I think on the other post someone said you enjoy causing anxiety, I now believe he is right I will not repond to your evil comments anymore as I feel it is just fuel for your fire, your ridiculous comments about the flood have already caused pain for 2 people I know. I hope you are satisfied now. You have indeed caused anxiety, are you ever staisfied enough to stop hurting folks.

;D  ::) Hi Cambourne7 again, I just had a thought about making my system essayer for you and others to make if you want too.
Simply make up a ( H ) frame on legs higher enough for someone to sit under in their wheelchair, so they can go under it from all sides, made to hold my carrying beams in place, I would simply bang in long nails so that the beams were trapped in-between them to keep them from moving.
So say you had lengths of 3-2, you then make it look like a table without its top on, with a length of 3-2 across the middle only.
What you should end up with is a solid looking  ( H ) frame nailed or screwed together with 4 or 6 upright legs, with rows of long nails on the top, and it is high enough for someone in their wheelchair to sit under, on a surface that will let the person in the wheelchair attend to their crop growing containers from both ends or sides at all times, in all weathers if they want to.  ;D
I sorry if you think I shout a lot, but I'm only trying to make people take note of a problem that I think they should know about, if I think it's important enough, but sometimes I wished I hadn't bothered.
May you and yours and what you grow live long and happy. John. J.R.P.  :)

Whilst not wanting to be involved in this man's thread as such, I felt that I really must post a reply to his statement that our land is now contaminated by the floods.

What is this man on?????????? ???

There will undoubtedly be areas that have been flooded by sewage but the majority of the areas have been flooded by normal rain/river water.
The land is NOT contaminated, people and farmers have lost crops because they have been flooded out NOT because of contamination.

;D :) Hi ALL, for those who are interested, my photos are back on my website, plus I've just sent a e-mail to the Channel 4 TV DUMPED programme expert Rob Holdway, to see if he can help to spread the word about the way I do things, to help reduce some of our waste going into landfill sites in the UK, and in the rest of the world if I can, whether he will reply or not I will have to wait and see. Apart from that all my projects are now going well, but still no reply from Bob Sweet Chelsea Flower Show, so I wont bother.again until next year, to exhibit 2009. John. J.R.P.  :(

As glosterwomble said flooded areas are not contaminated most of the floodwater was just water.
The few areas which were unfortunate enough to be flooded with water containing raw sewage will not take that long to recover people will be able to use that land again next year.
Plastic containers are easily recyclable shipping them halfway across the world for people to grow thing in them makes no sense. A far better approach would be to support an organisation that specialises in permaculture as an example there is Geoff Lawton who is probably best known for taking 10 acres of barren, salty desert 2km from the dead sea & transforming it into a lush green fertile piece of land as can be seen in his "greening the desert" film shown on this site about halfway down this page http://permaculture.org.au/category/geoff-lawton/

Around here it is exceptionally difficult to get hold of pallets as they are all sent off to be reused if in good condition or if rotten then dismantled & the good bits of timber reused to manufacture new pallets.

I can't understand why you think all these materials end up in landfill when the council goes out of it's way to ensure plastics are recycled so they hit their targets & the companies that regularly receive goods on pallets reuse or recycle them all.
I also can't understand why you have a plot covered in pallets with everything growing in containers. There is obviously nothing wrong with the soil if surrounding plotholdes are using it. If you can't or don't want to dig it over then there are already lots of tried & tested no dig gardening methods. So why exactly is it you are using this system & witholding those containers & pallets from the recycling stream they would of entered otherwise?
