Great picture greenwizard, getting low down makes a more intriguing image, you forget a crocus is only 3-4 inches in height. Keep up the good work, the light coming through is really nice.

Greenwizard, do you have autofocus on your digital camera ? Its just for a trial point the camera at the nearest crocus. Press the button half way down, keep it half way down ( to try and hold the focus point on the nearest crocus) re-compose the shot of all of the flowers( still with your finger half down on  the button) take a new photo. By doing this the nearest crocus should be nice and clear, but the flowers behind will go out of focus. If you get chance give it a whirl, would be nice to see the results.

Yes her ankles fine now( you women are as tuff as old boots), takes a lot to keep a good woman down. I'm thinking of going out later with me camera, just to see whats about.
Maybe post a new image later.

Nice pic.  You'll see in my crocus pic down the list someplace thats what I did, I took some with the focus on the flowers in the background and some with the focus on the foreground, chooseing one of the foreground focus pics as my favourite.  I love the way the light is hitting the crocus buds here.

Mine looked amazing today - think they loved all the sunshine.  Opened so wide I thought they would collapse!

Yes, nice try mum.... ;D ;)  Although I'm sure had I got over to your garden when it was snowing I could have taken some very much the same.

I'm looking forward to later in the year when I can come over and take pictures of all your beauties in the garden and enter them into the competition as my own  ;D ;D ;D
(especially your hanging baskets...wow!)
