Sorry all, I've not been too good for a while, but on the up now, thank goodness! Will be updating very shortly, I think best to send seeds beginning of Jan.

Fine by me; I've got everything dried that isn't going to rot (my runner bean seeds were a disaster), so I can soon sort out what to send. How many people are on the list this year?

I am afraid that I have to give up on my offer of Shark's Fin Melon. I've cut up a couple (still the 2012 ones) and I really do not think the seed is viable. Although I have 6 more!! I cannot keep cutting them up until used the mountain of flesh from the last one.
However my contribution - all bagged up and ready are

Brighstone Dwarf French bean (original from Galina)

http://www.gardenorganic.org.uk/assets/hsl/dwarf_french_bean_brighstone.jpg
The bean comes from the IOW where it was  supposed to have come ashore after a shipwreck and grown there for many years (HSL info)

District Nurse climbing French bean  (original from Galina)
http://www.gardenorganic.org.uk/assets/hsl/cfb_district_nurse.jpg
Given to a district Nurse by an elderly lady in Cardiff
Pretty lilac flowers followed by dramatically coloured pods, green splashed with blue (HSL info)

Purple Tepee dwarf French bean (Dobies) I like this variety because it is easy to germinate and reliable. Lovely black pods which go dark green when cooked
http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plants/plant_finder/images/large_db_pics/large/vebea2385_2.jpg  (BBC)

Black sugarsweet Turnip  (HSL) interesting dark colour almost like the snake skin maple! I failed the first year as where I live turnips are winter veg and swedes the summer one, so I grew it in the wrong season. Last year it did well as a spring sowing. I believe I did a good job in netting the plants so hopefully they will be true, but as you know I am new to this seed saving stuff and it is the first brassica I have tried to save- so please "rogue out" any oddities

I'll be glad to get District Nurse. I had some seed a few years ago but none of it generated. It's been an odd year; don't worry about the shark's fin seed.

 :BangHead:

Sorry guys.... I went offline unexpectedly. I had a bit of a melt-down.
I feel like I have let the whole lot of you down...
I'll make up for it whenever I can. I still have the seeds...

Next year maybe?

Hi all

Where are we with this? I need to know whether to reserve seeds for this circle or to add to other circles.

*I am happy to do the admin for this circle if JayB can't do it at the moment - just let me know.

No, it hasn't happened yet Nigel. Jayb was unwell and postponed it to January.  I pm'ed her a week or so ago and offered my assistance, but I haven't heard back yet.  Does anybody know how Jayb is?

Glad things are looking up, jayb. :happy7:

Have I missed the final numbers?  I was banking on around twenty.
