Thanks to the people who sent the blackpod beans and the broad beans. I've been looking, and I have to apologise as I can't find out who you are!

Sorry Robert, I meant to message you. I think from another thread you were looking for some more Blackpod Runners, which I said I'd send.  The Broadies are my mix, all grown together the last couple of years, I know you are developing your own selection and thought these might be a useful addition.

.................................... Also I had Shark's Fin Melon seeds as well as butternut squash in the seed packet from NigelB.

............................................................
Well spotted Galina. Sorry I hadn't updated the thread to say so, but this is my first time back on-line since posting my parcel..

Many thanks to all for the hard work and generosity that goes into making a thing like this work.
My parcel is still a source of wonder and pleasure... :glasses9:

Just wanted to say another big thankyou to everybody.  All seeds sown is coming up nicely (a few things have been held over to next year, but I included carried over seeds from a year ago).  The quality of circle seed and the germination is so much better than from commercial packets.  And of course the seed has been grown locally and not produced in another continent which makes a big difference.

If I single out just one, for example Chilacayote aka Shark's fin melon from two sources, both came up beautifully.  It is a joy to sow these seeds and watch them grow.  :sunny:

Just to echo what Galina said.  :sunny: I have some fantastic plants here this year, mostly from sowing single seeds in the firm belief that 'our' seeds are the freshest available.... And I don't think I've had a single failure so far. Even the seeds sown straight into the soil are flourishing.  :glasses9:

You lot are fantastic! :icon_cheers:  Thank you all again!

Here too, plus I am sowing with success seeds from 2011, makes you wonder about the seed companies , and that makes me like Real Seeds even more. Just come from the greenhouse even before the kettle goes on - all that germination ...good for the soul I reckon .

Anyone have success with germinating the Bay Laurel?

Mine didn't start to show until mid May - June, a few little babies.

No sign of mine yet. I'm hoping I still have seeds after a mouse had a dig around in the pot!

Oh dear, not again. I picked them fresh this year just before sending the parcels as I messed up last year?
Mine have been outside in a pot of B&Q compost, so no special treatment here!

Did anyone try the Goji Berry seeds yet?  I hope you all have luck with them.  :happy7:

I left it a bit late to get mine started this spring, but thought I'd try half in the autumn and the remainder next spring?

Nothing here ...yet...

Saying that...I've got one that I planted 20 year ago...and it has never ever shown any signs of flowering ?! ...so perhaps bay just don't trust my nursing skills.. :drunken_smilie:
Hmm..my seed tray is in GH...perhaps I should move it outside where it would stay move evenly moist...
