Lost connection
« on: March 11, 2005, 18:18:43 »
I use Oulook Express and it's a nightmare at the moment. Whenever I click on send/receive on the default address I lose my connection. Consequently, to avoid frustration, I have to write my emails before logging on which is very inconvenient. Have looked in options but cannot see anything obvious. Has anyone any ideas? ???

Hi there Alot  :)

No expert, but this might be worth trying.
Tools: Options: Mail Delivery: Dial-up Options: and untick the 'Hang up when finished sending/receiving' box.

If it isn't ticked, then no idea !   :)

Thanks Di
Problem is I lose my connection as soon as I click on send/rec and BEFORE that function has been executed, that's what so frustrating. Have done the check you recomended anyway to no avail.

Check the accounts section,

Tools / Accounts

And see if you account has the Always connect to this account using option checked.

If so remove it !
