I can take a hint
« on: January 07, 2013, 11:59:34 »
It was quite a big hint as well. The Yeti in pink knickers asked what I was doing today as I went out with the dog for our morning constitutional. Spect. I'll go fishing I replied, well remember  most of the coast walks are closed because of some serious slippage due to all the rain she replied. Bugger! that's that plan down the drain.  Off I go out with the dog and when I arrived back she has gone off to work but left 10 litres of emulsion paint, a set of brushes and rollers right in the middle of the lounge.

I don't know why she left it there all day as she will not be able to start until after dinner tonight, but I get the hint, she does not want me to go out tonight as she will need somebody to steady the step ladders when she is up them painting. So I have invited No. 1 daughter around for dinner, then they can have a good yap while she holds the steps for her. I bet she did not even think of that, so it will be a nice surprise for her when she gets home.

whatever you do don't cook a leg of lamb, as I am sure it would be a good weapon for bludgeoning  :toothy10:  :toothy10:   :toothy10:
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Well! What a lash up, half a wall done, so is the skirting, door frame plus a speckled floor. Brushes and rollers left in the sink  going hard and a very sly smirk on her face this morning.

OK she wins, but I expect a nice treat for this hard work and I don't mean any of the mucky sort. I'de rather have a good gravy dinner nowadays.

You would not believe that her job is looking into cases of adult abuse and making sure the elderly are safe and well looked after. I should report her really.
