Yesterday I spent the afternoon at the plot, tidying up a lot and planting out the sweet peppers and tomatoes. I had just finished when a violent shower erupted with loads of tiny hailstones!!!!  aaarrrgghhh. I cowered in the shed with a thermos of coffee while the heavens opened up.
Luckily on inspection the tomatoes had just been dirt splattered and seemed unharmed. The peppers were cloched so they were OK. I felt  a bit guilty for them! But as it was my only day off, they had to go out.
Nice weather predicted for the next 3 days so hopefully with some sun they will perk up. They have certainly been well watered!!!

Lovely sunny day here today in Enfield, north London.  All the seed trays are out in the garden to get some sun.  Hope it stays fine for next week as going to Poole, Dorset.  Going to look at the price of houses around Bournemouth, Wareham etc. Will try and plant out some toms and courgettes before I go.  Strawberries should be good when I get back, I hope.  :sunny: Put Dulce's bed back in the plastic greenhouse and left the door open, covered the water butt, not only with plastic cover but with wood in case he jumps on it.  Have got next door and granddaughter to feed him, so he should be OK.  Cat flap will be open so he can go in the kitchen, hopefully no dead birds brought in. Funny much I will miss my seeds/plants and the allotment and the cat, and only going away for 4 days.

It's been a lovely weekend and today is mostly sunny too here in Southern Brittany. Sounds like a good time to go and have a hoe and bordeaux mixture the spuds this evening! I find if you do it in a dry patch it sticks much better to the plants.

Cloudy, faintly drizzly and quite cold.  Very dark thick clouds, no sun.  Hope it will come through later.

Hot hot hot still, but a tad too dry. I am having to go three times a week to the lottie to water and mulch.
This morning there was a little shower but just a refresher, didn't really water that much. It will help out the things I don't really water by hand though (flowers).

It's been raining here for over a week and has been cold, wet, windy and so dull I've needed the lights on by day.   Fed up with it now.   I've managed quite a bit of gardening between downpours in the last 3 days but everything is starting to feel as damp as if I'd been camping in the Lake District for 3 weeks and when the sun shines it's as humid as Florida.

Horrible - and the weeds just love it.   Treasures and crops not so happy.    Humph!   And the dogs come back filthy from walkies or the garden so the floor needs constant wiping.   Double humph!!

We have not had much rain for some time now.  They promised it Thursday but it was a cracker of a sunny day.  They promised it Friday and yes the spots did join up just, it was promised Sunday and yes there was three minutes of drizzle and then  lovely again in the afternoon.

My runner beans are drying up.

It was lovely first thing this morning very lovely at the Lottie.  Now it is hazy sunnyside, with rain drifting in across Wales, not convinced we will get any.  Met office down graded the two rain drops to one and that will probably miss us.

It is going to be a scorcher here, 35 deg... I ran down to the plot before work (literally) and watered and threw a sheet of fleece over the newly planted brassicas and leeks, to give them some shade. I also put a plastic fruit crate over the newly sown seeds to shade them. At least it will make the tomatoes ripen more quickly!!! We recently had some rain and drizzle so the ground is not too dry. But I think the poor veg will suffer in the heat like us.
