Chicken with bleeding "toenail"
« on: October 13, 2012, 10:18:48 »
Hi - looking for any suggestions. Cheeky has a bleeding toenail. It started a couple of weeks ago and we've been spraying it with that purple stuff at night. It doesn't look infected but it isn't getting any better and she's trying not to stand on it so it must be causing some discomfort. She's still laying and appears otherwise healthy. Is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks!

Hi One of the things that was recommended to me was the spray plaster , it comes in a can for human cuts and is like a thin layer of superglue. It keeps it dry and clean and might stop an infection starting.

Trouble is its about a £5 a can
Hope she clears up soon.
