« on: June 20, 2012, 10:30:20 »
Good morning every one. I am new to this forum and hope I am posting in the right place. Can any one give me some advice on a pieris japonica that I have been growing in a pot for about 5 years, I would like to replant it into my garden but when is the best time to move it?

Good morning 'newbie'.. ;D..and yes, you have posted in the right place...welcome and good of you for not being shy to join. New 'voices' are always nice to hear.
You can plant your Pieris now..providing you make sure the rootball and surrounding soil keep moist in its first year.
Not hard task at the moment.. ::)..rain, rain, rain.

Welcome from me.

My daughter lives in a house with lots of Pieris.  They were fine for many years but seemed to suddenly get enormous.  When they were first planted they got very little TLC and have had even less since.
