grrr what has eaten my cuke!?
« on: June 01, 2012, 09:53:33 »
One of my cucumber plants has been eaten, except the false first leaves!!! So annoyed! I don't know if it will recover as it has been well stripped. Funnily enough the one next to it is intact ??? What could it be? I don't have a great slug population...
Can I still sow now? Should I cloche them till they are big to protect them? Any advice welcome.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Maybe a hungry snail as you don't have a slug problem???
