A bit fed up
« on: May 31, 2012, 18:44:31 »
Had a phone call from my old Allotment neighbour saying the vultures are circling.

I have bought back all my nice bits, stepping stones bench etc but am waiting for my husband to collect my Arch as he had tightened the screws so much I could not get them to open with my weedy wrists.

I am still the tenant and when D day has come they can have what they like but really I would expect better of people.

It was from wilko and not too expensive. Are they really so desperate ?

My motto is "Never take anything to the allotment that you are not prepared to lose".

I'm sorry to hear it has got you upset.   :-[    Cheers,    Tony.

I have watched folks in the past home in on a plot 5mins after the folks have left. Sheds the lot have been grabbed.Like your friend said they are just like vultures.
Never mind love. You will be happy at your new plot and will soon forget what you have left behind.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

A spray of WD40 should loosen those screws Den.

Allotmenteers on the whole are good folk, if and when I have to give mine up, I would offer plants I couldn't move to good souls that had helped me along the way there.

Look forward not back, new soil, new seed, new friends.

Ninny x

I didn't realise you were moving so really wish you the best of luck and lots of  good friends in the new plot.

When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.
