nasty beastie?
« on: May 18, 2012, 16:36:03 »
Hi All

A man on our allotments is losing all his plants. He has found several worm like creatures which he thinks are attacking the roots but cannot identify them and wonders if anyone can help: They are approx 1'' long when resting but stretch to twice that when moving; they are earthworm colour at the rear end, a grey nearly transparent colour for the rest of its length with a white head. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It sounds a little like leatherjackets, turnip moth grubs, click beetle grubs, crane fly grubs.   Take your pick but don't quote me.    Cheers,   Tony.
