Gorgeous! Brill pic!! Are they whats called 'Angels trumpets'? And are Datura the same? Fancied growing them in the conservatory as I have heard that the scent is something else. ;D

Yes, some will call them angels trumpets.
Brugmansias were seperated out of the Genus Datura and given the generic name of Brugmansia.
They have pendant flowers while those left as Daturas have near horizontal or erect flowers.
The Brugmansias are generally shrubby while the Daturas a more herbaceous.
Brugmansias are extremely easy to cross and there are now many cultivars and hybrids.

...... and isn't the nectar an intoxicant...... Victorian ladies taking tea in the conservatory were known to let it drip into their cups!

Here's mine Emma...grown a couple of years ago......poor quality scan , but gives you some idea of the size!!........and that's in the frozen North!!..........yours would be twice the size!! ;D
Chiltern Seeds have an excellent choice of Daturas...
.......the intoxicating fragrance only develops in the evening....to attract night flying moths!!
I can recommend "suaveolens"...12" white trumpets.....fantastic plant.........worth growing for the fragrance alone!!!
btw ....... you can do an "OZZY" ;) with the leaves.......very hallucinatory experience .......( apparently!! ) ;D ;)
Oops ...apologies Plantsman....your close-up pic is fantastic...really demonstrates the superb quality achieved by using a digi cam !!
