RHS "Grow your own" page

I dont think this has been posted here before (at least it did not show up on a quick search here)

I received a newsletter from the RHS, and in it there is a link to a useful "Grow your own" fruit and veg index page, you can click onto a name for example Carrots, and the page will guide you on sowing harvesting etc and info on problems and pests. There are even some recipes to help you use the produce once harvested.

I find their newsletter good although the instructions are sometimes so complicated...
They were talking about gooseerries this month. They say you can train them up an espalier. Honestly how do you do that???? They are so prickly, I can just about trim them but no more without ripping myself to shreds (yes even with gloves.) I would love to do that but I am no DIY person so building teh trellis is out of my league. Would be nice though, my goosegogs are now 5 years old and tending to spread out rather than up!
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com
