Pond Fix

(1/2) > >>

Uncle Joshua:
I sank and filled a pre formed pond liner today and noticed it had a hole in it the size of the end of a pencil close to the bottom. what is the best way to fix it?

Uncle Joshua:
Anyone got any ideas?

gaz2000:
what material is it made from?

if its a formed fibreglass pool then you can repair it with new fibreglass and paint quite easily

if its a thin shaped rubber/viynl liner then it can be patched,a local aquatic centre will supply the appropriate patch and adhesive.

I think its rubber/vinyl. I'll ask where we bought it.

Cheers.

gaz2000:
if its new and you have a reciept then ask for a replacement or refund, should be straight forward in that regard

but they can be repaired, bit like a puncture repair kit with special glue..

for fitting i hear laying old carpet before the liner itself is a good trick, stops any sharp objects puncturing the liner

not so much a problem with the gel coated fibreglass pools
