Pea and bean booster
« on: February 25, 2012, 08:42:30 »
Have you used this product before..and did it work for you?

I've got batch of land that is not cultivated much yet and what's grown on it has not done much...so this year I'm going to put some peas and beans on that bit..but without risking them going there as they are..I bought couple of packs of the booster..just to give them a better chance.. :-\ ???
Luckily its not that expensive product so if it doesn't have much effect..there is not much lost neither.

I've thought about it... now I've had a couple of weeks work I may treat myself to some to do a trial!  :)

This is supposed to help legume plants take nitrogen from the air and store as root nodules, I believe.  This came up at a lecture at HDRA a while ago and they said that the necessary components are in good supply in most British soils anyway, so not needed.

But they use it a lot in the USA, apparently to good effect.  It certainly cannot do any harm, even if it isn't strictly needed.
