I've never had much luck with the gardden stuff from the 99p shop, so I have gone up market and bought myself some onion sets and a mushroom growing kit from the pound shop.
If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!

had the maris last year they were ok
onion sets look fine but time will tell

 I got a couple of big jute bags ,they look ok might do for all our tons of tattys ::) also a green jute type plant bag for the wall or shed ,well I just can't help myself. ;D
