Biodegradable plant pots
« on: January 22, 2012, 13:22:43 »
I bought some pots in wyevale sale.  They are quite solid not like peat pots.  Does anyone know how long they take to got soft.

I bought some from B&Q's reduced bin a few years ago, made of bamboo IIRC.

They are still going strong but they seem to chip a bit.

I think they would go on indefinitely with a bit of TLC.  The biodegradable bit refers to the fact that you can chuck them on the compost heap at the end of their useful life rather than landfill.

But yes, you think peatpots when you see the description but they are quite different.

But it is the price of them, wish I'd bought more as they look quite nice.
