Is there a potato day near you Jim? they sell at 10p per spud on pre-orders at ours, which is good I think, but not if have to travel to one- unless you got bus pass ;)
A lot of our plot holders buy from Wilko but I do not know what quality like.

I bought from Wilko last year and had no problems. I can't remember what I paid for them but it worked out cheaper than the potato day for us. I only buy the common varieties Desiree Charlotte kestrel etc.

I bought from Poundland on 8 Jan this year, so I think they must have just been put on the shelf. There were eight tubers in a pack, around small egg size. I got Charlotte and Rocket, no complaints at all.
