Is there still time to plant winter onion sets??

I was bought some winter onion sets last week. I normally plant my winter onion sets last week in September. Is it to late to plant winter onion sets middle of November  ??? ???

Still ok to plant. Esp as its been quite mild

I was late  by planting mid November last year.  I put a cloche over them to play catch up and ended up with better crop than some other plotholders.

I think the weather is more a factor than the month. As already said... should be fine.

I still haven't got my elephant garlic in - normally done early October.

I think the weather is more a factor than the month. As already said... should be fine.

I still haven't got my elephant garlic in - normally done early October.

Good point about the weather. This year we have had rubbish tomatoes as there has been no sun and it has been a cool summer in my opinion. So the weather played a big factor in my tomatoe crops this year. Also my summer seed onions where rubbish and they are normally better than set type onions  >:(

Just put my onion sets & garlic in last week and covered with hay and some grass clippings.

I know what you mean... my butternut squash crop was something to be hidden not shouted about this year :(
