I don't have much room for flowers by always try to grow some.
I have a weakness for peonies but don't actually grow any!
Other than that, I love
Sweet peas for the perfume
Old roses too
wisteria (but would never have space for that)
honeysuckle

The only things I ever manage to grow in the allotment is pot marigolds, nasturtiums and tagetes! Although this year I had Cosmos which were really successful and the late blooms were covered in hungry insects.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com
