HI, Roburt its the frame that needs to be strong you can buy a good builders plastic as a cover and e bay sell good strong tape to do the edges. A few years ago we could go to our local smithy and we could buy round bar cheap he would put the bend in it for us then we dug a hole the width of small spade filled with concrete then placed our frame in and it is still going strong we have recoverd  but it will last look at local metal supplyers in your area it may work out cheaper goodluck

From what I have seen and it is self explanatory, first if you have blue plastic water pipe for your frame you need to have it well pegged down with spikes in to the ground, and your plastic sheet also well buried all the way round the polytunnel frame, there are a couple of on line DVDs showing you how to erect a polytunnel, worth a look, :)

Thanks. Would it work to build a frame and put a commercial skin on it? I've seen some with mesh windows which would close. I din't know how much difference the ventilation makes - I need to ask a neighbour who's done it - but I need to be able to keep frost out in winter so closing it would be important.

I am hoping to have one erected before the Spring. Its from Two Wests and Elliot.The cost can be variable depending what size you want.

Personally if I was constructing a polytunnel from material I could beg steal or borrow, I would definitely buy my poly from one of the polytunnel companies out there,  :)

Make one of these with blue pipe(50mm) but cover with monoflex sheet, (£60 from scaffold direct) instead of debri netting.Total cost about £100:00.

Approx 5mtrs X 3 mtrs. Took 2 days to put up when I had all the gear on site.

I bought a 20mtr roll from Screw Fix direct. Should be plenty depending on the height and width.
