Smooth move Betty ;D
It's the same everywhere I am afraid, the ones who moan and do not want the subs to go up are the ones who use the water the most   :-X

I read the letter to another Old Moaning Bloke yesterday and it turned out that, surprise surprise, he is also happy to pay the £4 now he understands what it's for.

I'm beginning to enjoy this.  No more Mrs. Nice Guy. (not with Old Moaning Blokes, anyway)

Well done Betty.  Some time the moaners need to be told.

Is there any moaning old women or is it just men  :-X
Nice one Betty  8)
A lot of peeps will come round, its just being kept in the dark, not saying you Betty, but the clubs I belong to, the committee always keep the members in the dark, and thats the worst way that rumours start,  :( sad but true.   ;)
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

When joining the NSALG, is there a standard per person charge for the insurance? I cant find any info on the NSALG site save for contact info for the insurers.

Steve...:)

Agree with Kev. ("Now there's a funny thing!") You've got to keep the members informed. Most really aren't interested if the things running smoothly, but there is always the odd MOM or OMB. (They're nearly always men, but not exclusively!)

Steve - there's no standard charge per person. It depends what's covered and there is a standard charge for that. Minimum is Public Liability, but you can have Employer's Liability - to cover working parties - Buildings, plus all sorts of extras like money, trophies, equipment and so on. Get in touch - or download from the internet - and they will talk you through it. And you can affiliate to NSALG without having their insurance. (But not the other way round!) Ask Tonybloke on that one.

Maybe GOB, Grumpy Old Bloke  ;)

I agree Kev, I think it's better to get things out in the open and let people know what their money is being spent on.  As for moaning old women, we have one of those too but she's not in the same league as the men.
