when to pick my pumpkins?

When should I pick them? It is getting colder no at nights so.wondering if I should pick them and put them in the greenhouse?

I'm keeping my pumpkins and squashes on plants as long as the plants are alive. These low temperatures are not going to affect the pumpkins as yet. But if there is any chance temp going bellow 5'C ..then maybe is safer to take them 'in'.
If your plants are more and less had it and not much green left in them..then you might as well move your pumpkins..there is no point keeping them out anymore.

An easy way to see if your pumpkins are ripe is to look at the skins, there should be a filigree of tiny cracks, just like the bottom of a drought hit reservoir !   ;D  Cheers,    Tony.

Took the only 2 uchi kuri in today, the plant's given up the ghost  :)

Same here.  I have never had much joy with pumpkins but this year I grew GHOST from T&M and have 4 good size ones, 2 on each plant.
