A cheeky ask for my sons cake competition entry
« on: August 30, 2011, 10:54:14 »
HI Everyone.

My sons have entered a cake competition at the cake shop that I did my diploma training at. The photos have been put on facebook, and the cakes with the most likes by tomorrow will win a £50 goody bag.

IF there is anyone on facebook could I pretty please ask (with bells and whistles on) if you could click the link or photo  below and like the photo. You may need to like confection perfections page first before being allowed to like the photo (stupid way of doing things I know). You can unlike confection perfections page straight after.

Many thanks for anyones help

Chris

Brown Owl I searched for perfection confection but I didn't know which one to like. I will do it when I know. Good luck to him ;D.

The link takes to me a photo of nine ladies each holding a cake, so like the others, am not sure where the pic is that I need to click 'like'

Also, I'm pretty sure if you click like on the cake picture and then unlike the page itself, the vote will be lost - so probably best to unlike the page after the competition is finished :)

Edit:  Just looked in their photo gallery and there is a folder called Summer Fun Competition with six photos in - is the photo in here and if so, which one is it, please? :)

Sorry everyone, obviously copied the wrong link. The boys cakes are the pirate cupcakes NOT the pirate cake, thats my irval. So far im in the lead, but that said I was last night and lost it. Comp ends 5pm tomorrow.

Oh and to like it you ay well have to like the confection perfection page first, but you can then unlike that as soon as youve liked the photo

Thank you betula. Boys made them all by themselves from looking at the picture we had got. I wasnt allowed to help.

We are currently in the lead and the competition closes today, so if anyone else could vote to ensure we stay in the lead I would be very grateful.

Done.  I always find Facebook a bit counter-intuitive, but got my "like" registered in the end.  :)

Thank you melbourne.

Facebook is a pain to use for liking/voting as you have to like the page first, nightmare. Of course if your trying to get friends to do it and include a link in that silly status bar, you have to virtually use text speak to get what you want to say in.

Thank you for everyone who voted.

The boys won the competition with 81 likes.............. 30 more than the second place cake. Im sure they will be dead chuffed when I tell them in the morning

Susan

I make cakes and cupcakes to order myself so if you ever want a cake you now know where to come.
Guess you now know where my boys talents come from, and I can see future bakers in both as mummys help was most defintately not wanted.

My next venture a pirate boat complete with pirate, possibly an island with treasure chest and palm tree. My boys birthday cake of course :)
