Olives, little ones....
« on: November 05, 2011, 16:56:51 »
My olive tree has done well this year, it has quite a few little green olives, is there anything I can do with them or will they be too un-ripe?
Tks!
Ruth ???

This post has gone quiet with replies..and with reason..
Olive are lot of work to process so that they are 'edible'. I once looked into this...and found it soo troublesome process to be worth of efford for sake of few olives.. ::)
If my memory serve me right..it involved lot of soaking, fermenting and rinsing.
But....WELL DONE you..getting your own olives!.. ;)
Perhaps little googling would be in place for finding the right treatment for them..
I'll have a look too if I still find the info..

Oh my!  Thanks for that, I might give it a go, but it looks a bit tricky and I only have a few!  Made the mistake of trying one straight from the tree  :o

No wonder they're expensive. I had no idea there was that much processing.
Thanks, Goodlife, for the free  enjoyable education (with no final exam) ;D
