Well I've currently got my patty pan draining to use in place of a courgette. Then I'm going to attempt to make this for the first time to take along to my lotti committee meeting in the local pub tonight. Fingers crossed it turns out  :-\

Thanks Tim.  I have made it before and forgotten all about it.  Have such a glut of courgettes I have made one for now and will make one later to freeze, and keep making them.  :)  (I have also made Nigella's courgette sponge and the beebs choccy courgette cake)

Right - ho it's rising as I type, this is the stage where I have to be patient.  I usually don't let it rise enough and end up with hard, doughy bread.

I plucked up courage and have just made this. It's in the oven as we speak. looking amazing. I've never made bread before, so the taste test has yet to happen, but thanks for the inspiration tim  :)

Oh and I noticed the recipe you gave called for "2 sachets" of yeast  :o  :o I added a teaspoon to the flour. I hope I've done the right thing !  :)

Swapped the poppy seeds on top for sunflower seeds and had it with butternut soup.  Magnificent!
