We have a glut of turnips about apple size. Is there anyway on keeping them fresh?( meaning that they will not die when they are lifted. All in tubs in garden. :o

i bet your problem isn't that you have a glut of turnips, it's just you don't really have any nice recipes for them. I love them. Google some zingy recipes and your problem will disappear ( otherwise leave them in the tubs unless you need them for something else)

you could try pickling them, like the Lebanese do for instance - they have a compliment for women I think....your skin is as white as a ....turnip  ;D

Ive been using turnips in place of spuds by cutting into cubes & steaming them, they are really tasty so dont need the butter I tend to put on potatoes & turnips are very low in calories. They are helping me to lose weight ;)
