Potato blight
« on: July 18, 2011, 08:10:09 »
I wondered if members of this forum are aware of:

www.blightwatch.co.uk

You can sign up to get an email when anyone reports blight in your
postcode area.  I have already had warnings for North Cornwall

Peter
If you can keep your head, whilst those around you are losing theirs,
you obviously don't realise the full horror of your situation.

Thanks petefj, I'm already signed up, but I'm sure others will find it very helpful. I think to sign up you have to go to both sites and it takes 24hrs for registration to take affect  http://www.potato.org.uk/department/knowledge_transfer/fight_against_blight/index.html?menu_pos=knowledge_transfer
For anyone new to this site you will find lots of information and check out the blight maps.

Had a near miss warning yesterday. :(

Strange but last year I lost all my Toms on my small veggie patch but the ones in pots just a few yards away were unaffected  ???
