Anyone recommend a tunnel supplier?
« on: May 21, 2011, 21:14:44 »
I hav bought fleece tunnels in the past that have turned out shorter than I thought, and ripped to shreds after a year, and mesh tunnels that didnt last much longer.
Anyone recommend a long mesh tunnel supplier of a decent quality tunnel that will last more than 1 season, and not cost the earth?

Do you mean cloche tunnels?
None of those are really 'long term'..I use the types with metal hoops..those last years but the covers don't, particularly fleece. But I keep re-using my hoops/frame and just cover with new fleece sheet every year..fleece is not expensive and  easily replaced. I pay about £1 for fleece and lay it on the hoops..few stones on edges to keep it in place and job done.. ;)

I have always been pleased with the quality of the items I have bought from LBS  And their prices are fair.

All the best
Sue
I love my traditional English Cuckoo Marans and their lovely big brown eggs

I was thinking more of cloches with butterly netting, the ones I have seen dont seem long enough.
