I grow a lot of dried beans as well, but I am really looking forward to a glut of fresh green beans in the summer - don't you like fesh green/purple/yellow bean pods??? I have given up growing dwarf beans because I never seem to get good quantities.

A wall of peas sounds wonderful....

I noticed someone on our allotment growing them up a couple of wilkies arches joined together so Tony made a long tunnel of them using 9 of them.We bought them online when they were half priced £3 They are of course strengthened with wooden stakes to make them stronger. They did  quite well last year and much easier to pick. Looked nice too.

i have a few of those and thught of doing that........they are a bit flimsy though, at the moment I have only been using the top part of the arches as net supports! Have you got any pics Shirl so I can see how you have constructed yours please?
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I got a pair of iron gates off a certain auction site for a fiver. Hubby dug trench, lined with newspaper, rotten manure and filled in with soil. Going to try to grow peas up it this year. For beans we stick to two big wigwams of bamboo poles. I know many on our site with flat goalposts.  Would put up pics but I don't know how

What about a scarecrow and grow the beans/peas up and around them to make an edible green man?

I am using old silver birch branches for my French bean poles.

My runner beans are going to grow up canes.

I am still using the concrete reinforcing irons (Steel Rods) which my father got at the end of WW2, they were used to anchor down the rolls of barbed wire around the local airfield.

I grow them all up wigwams. One variety per wigwam.

Old Sid on our plot grows peas up an old tennis net, I don't think he's got it up this year what with him down sizing, might just chore it when he's not looking.   ;)

I don't mind them - but prefer them dried. Sorry.
