I once worked with some one whose father was off work ill for a very long time and to keep him amused his wife would give him all the competitions she could find on promotional packs etc.

He never ever won the first prize but got lots of runner up ones like a free toaster. At one stage he was getting something every week.

For any one who wants a try there are several sites on line where you can go in for free competitions.

My advice though is to first open up a special e-mail account (google or yahoo are nice and simple to follow)

 and use that address for only competitions because I reckon that it will get full pretty quick. You might also find that you could end up with a lot of telephone marketing and mailings so watch out for a little box you need to tick (or not)  to prevent them sharing your information when ever you enter a competition.
