Folding Wheelbarrows - £9.99
« on: March 02, 2011, 19:22:01 »
If anyone's near Trago Mills, in Newton Abbot (Devon), they are selling folding wheelbarrows for just £9.99 (instead of £29.99).

They've had them a while but still have lots left. I don't suppose they'll get any more once these are sold.

(They've also got the River Cottage veg patch book for £2.99)

What a pity you can't buy on line. That's just what I need for at home.

I have a cheap plastic fold-up one from Lidl, don't expect it to last too long, but has been useful at the allotment for collecting compost, wood chip, manure.  I find it very light, so do small loads.  Also used it last summer to wheel produce home (felt a bit silly, but who cares). OH (big strong man) always moans about my wheelbarrow and borrows a strong one from another allotment and fills it with about 4 times the amount I do in my plastic one, but at least I don't get backache and can lift it. To summarise think the plastic one is OK for 'ladies' especially 'old ladies'.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I bought one twenty years ago.  It's still going strong though I hardly use it any more as it can't take heavy loads and tips over easily on the slightest bump.  Ideal for carting lots of smaller pots around and I've also taken it to plant fairs but these days they provide scouts with proper barrows so mine spends most of its time hanging up on the garage wall.

I should think that one of these is worth the £10.

Very good for carrying full loads of feathers around in, and for dotty old ladies to keep their tennis balls in.    :P
