Thingymejig wozit called ?
« on: March 20, 2011, 20:28:19 »
Please help, this is driving me mad.  ???

A few years ago I bought a plastic flat board which had spikes in it. You filled a seed tray with compost, levelled it off then you placed the flat plastic board spike side down into the compost and it would make evenly spaced holes to plant your seeds in.
I haved lost mine !!!! and can`t seem to find anywhere that sells them.
Someone put me out my misery please ;D

When I worked at the nursery we used a piece of board with nails through it.

Cool...

I don't have one but from what I can see on the web you have an online choice of:

http://www.thegardensuperstore.co.uk/acatalog/Plant_Raising.html

or

http://www.keengardener.co.uk/product/view/374/tenax-seed-tray-dibber.rails

All the best,

I used to work in a commercial plant nursery ... It's a dibber ... I was a dibber. had to dib seed trays all day long for begonias to be transplanted in.

 I hated it !!!!

just to give you a size impression. We grew 260 million plug plants in a season ... Dec - May ... Then laid off till next year
If it's not on fire it's a software problem
