Stevia scones
« on: February 06, 2011, 14:38:56 »
just used some of my home grown dried stevia to bake some scones, difficult to know quantities, I've also put some in the fruit loaf and rice pudding, I'll let you know how it goes  ;D

That's interesting. I had to look stevia up as I had no idea what it is. Looking forward to knowing how it does with tasting.

the rice pud was brilliant, did it with a bit of  elmlea single cream, half the sugar and a couple of teaspoons of crushed stevia, loads of nutmeg over the top so you couldn't see the powder  ;D
scones were a bit less sweet than usual, may have needed a bit more but still enjoyed them ;D
the fruit loaf is still untouched
