am pleased to say my single, planted in the open ground with no protection Arran Pilot has finally taken off in flight, albeit delayed  ;D now aiming for the skies, well at least one inch above ground  ;D bon voyage

One out of two spuds in the ground has finally shaken the soil from it's head, the ones in the tubs are going well, one is romping.   :D

there was method in my madness though - just wanted to see how many spuds I will get from just one tuber  :P it is now 2 ins above ground  ;D

Both the ground spuds are up now and the ones in the pots were earthed up again yesterday.   ;D ;D ;D

My Swift potato in a bucket inside the dustbin is doing well. I may lift the bucket out so it can get more light, it is looking a bit spindly.

I have just planted the rest of the Swifts at the allotment. Hope this lovely weather stays a while.

There are flowers on the red duke of york outside  :o
we did have them covered with fleece but even so, the home guard inside aren't as big or advanced and they've been in a week longer  ;D
